I am

by Daniela Myers-Guzman

I am a delicious chocolate cake waiting to be eaten.
I am a penny in someone’s pocket, waiting to be spent.
I am a gymnast, flipping in the air, going for the gold.
I am a star in the sky, waiting to be discovered.
I am a drop of rain, falling from the sky.
I am a petal on a flower, waiting for a butterfly to land.
I am a beach ball, bouncing on the warm summer sand.
I am a leaf on a tree, dancing in the wind.
I am a blinking light, decorating a Christmas tree.
I am a crystal ball, waiting to be gazed into.
I am a teddy bear, waiting to be hugged by a child.
I am a person, unique and special in my own way.
What are you?
